Join our survey at the website of the China Speakers Bureau on the question whether China has a viable middle class, able to support foreign retailers entering the country.
Helen Wang sees a viable middle class in China of about 300 million people and argues you have to define the middle class different from that in the US, because China is cheaper.
Shaun Rein disagrees and expects a viable middle class no sooner than a decade down the road, when all goes well.
