A succesful protest against demolishion
A few days ago I posted a picture of a man who protested against the demolishion of his home.
One of my readers pointed at this picture here where a rather stubborn person at Wuding Road in Shanghai succesfully resisted the demolishion of his home because they thought the compensation was not high enough. They are still running a shop.
When the owner of the house poured petrol on her body to resist eviction, the local government thought it was wiser to back off.

The development company is offering them a house plus USD 250,000 but they're holding out for half a million. Nice!
I wanna visit this place. Anybody know the cross-street with Wuding Rd?
