economy - SEPA to investige local polution figures

Old habits die very hard and the State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has announced it will have a very close look at the local reports it got on China's environmental record. Those figurs suggest China has matched its target of reducing air polution by two percent, reports the official state agency Xinhua.
But SEPA's own figures suggest an increase by two percent and official blame the lack of supervision by local governments. China wants to reduce pollutants between 2006 and 2010 by 10 percent.
