economy - The Shanghai shopping experience

For people who have never done their shopping in Shanghai, and especially in one of the larger shopping malls, it is very hard to explain what makes it so different. Maybe this little movie helps is bit. It shows - unless I'm very mistaken - a section of the much larger Grand Gateway in Xujiahui on a quiet day. As Frommers says, it is the largest in this district, but there are certainly ten and perhaps more in this league.
The Grand Gateway is scary, because there are places where you cannot see any exit, I suffer there from a reversed claustrophobia.
