internet - Freezing and snowing in Shanghai

I'm using in a Google-side bar a weather information service, so I know what weather it is in some places where friends are living I regularly talk to. I can chitchat a bit about the weather before we move to move serious things.
Today I said a friend in Europe it was there cold, but at least not raining, and I was very wrong. It was raining cats and dogs. So, I checked what the same service said about Shanghai. Minus 21 degrees Celcius and snowing. Well, it is pretty cold today, but not close to freezing.
Now wonder people do not believe the internet. :-)
