internet - What about the team buying sites?
I know it is now very fashionable for VC's to put their money in one of the 150 video-sharing ventures in China, although they hardly show any revenue. (Like the latest US$ 12 million for Yoqoo.com.) But at this stage, I would rather go for the team-buying sites. Virtual China does a nice write-up of part publicity and recent successes, and some pictures.
Wangqun Tuangou has the best photos of their buying sprees, such as this trip to a Dazhong Electronics branch store in Beijing on Nov. 26, where over 1000 people bought over $200,000 worth of electronics equipment in a single afternoon. Pretty wild stuff!
