internet - Television for business executives heading for China
I just sat down with Kerry Kennedy of ITV-Japan and ITV-Asia who is going to bring his wildly successful venture from Japan to China, and the rest of Southeast Asia . He is still on the wrong side of the cable, so when you are in China it will be hard to see, but this idea might work out in this place too.
His venture lets experts talk to experts and broadcasts that online. Although, broadcasting might be the wrong word (especially in China's tricky legal climate), it is more narrowcasting. It focuses on rather small targetgroups of business executives and is not distracted by the constraints of massa publication: trying to be funny in as little time as possible.
It might also offer advertisers an online channel where they can effectively spend their money, something that is still very hard in other online ventures. You might learn more about this in the coming weeks.
