Do you know this thief?

Earlier this week Chinabiz published this article I wrote for them. Now, I look at my radar screen and see that this guy has republished my article. He did not quote, but republished the whole article without permission and even without mentioning my name or the original source. That is stealing my intellectual property. How should I deal with this guy?He is a nasty thief and at least no honest people should do business with him, do you agree?

:-) At least I linked to the page I stole the picture from.
The weblog system he uses is really impossible: needs a very lengthy registration procedure and that was not worthwhile.

He's left himself open to trouble by putting his email address up there - I'd do something really mature like sign him up for a couple of thousands porno pix each day.

Shame on him!
I left him a note about this on his weblog, however we have to wait and see if he will publish it.
The same happened to me recently with my webarticle on Taoism on my website. Substantial parts of my article appeared 1iterally in the Wikipedia (NL) entry on Taoism. I only learned about this when an angry vistior on my website accused me of 'stealing from Wikipedia'. (!) Fortunately the moderators of Wikipedia within half an hour after my email to them, removed the the text.

It seems he has removed the article!

You did the exact right thing and it caused him to remove the article. I used to get really bothered when other bloggers would steal my posts without giving me any credit, but then I realized that (without exception) none of the bloggers who did this were any good and because of this they tended not to last and I very much doubt they ever had very many readers. I would guess that is true of this guy as well and he has probably had more hits as a result of your post than in the entire last month. So just keep writing the good articles and ignore the copycats and the wannabes out there.

You have been in China long enough to know how to handle this: you put the guys pic online...

Remember this jaywalker who was caught on tape fighting with a policeman. The tape was all over the net. For about 3 days, all Shanghainese were crossing the streets properly...
