Chinese internet users have little interest in the outside world

Thomas Crampton points at not-that-surprising news that Chinese internet users very seldom link to sites outside China. Only six percent of the links leave the Chinese cyberspace, he notes, based on research of professor Zhu of the city university of Hong Kong.
That dovetails nicely with similar conclusions from CASS researcher Guo Liang (sorry cannot find the link right now) who discovered quite some time ago that only two or three percent of the internet users in China would now and then peek on a website outside China.
