A week of sloppy reporting

I did not have a lot of time to write about the major lapses in reporting about China last week, apart from getting very annoyed myself. Fortunately, Jeremy Goldkorn at Danwei took over. He mentions the two biggest cases in sloppiness, Ian Bremmer on China in Slate and the Ars Technica on new internet censorship measures.
It is just unbelievable in a time where basic information can be found at Google and large numbers of well-informed people are available to comment inside China, this kind of major mistakes keeps on popping up.
