Spring festival in China is traditionally a period when employees seek greener pastures, but a flow of vacancies at the mailing list of the Shanghai Foreign Correspondents Club shows that the season might start earlier and hit more and different occupations. Working for the foreign news agencies used to be an attractive and prestigious job for many Chinese, a bit depending on how big the agency is.
I might have triggered off today's flow of vacancies myself by posting my Chinabiz Speakers vacancy on the list, but now also NPR, Market Watch, Forbes and the Washington Post followed suit and the day is not yet over.
But it certainly is an indication that many employers should keep their fingers crossed as the Spring Festival is nearing very fast.
Do let me know if you are interested in any of the vacancies, so I can forward the email to you.
