Huawei lost 37 employees through suicide

Danwei picked up a rumor on the internet, documenting the ongoing stream of suicides by Huawei-employees. The rumor is making big tours on the China-internet and has not yet led to any official reaction, at last as far as I could see. While the rumor has to be treated with caution, this plays certainly a part in the discussion about the labor conditions at a famous domestic company.

Update: Global Voices has a thorough overview of the online voices commenting on the rumor of the spate of suicides.

THE CHINESE ARE SUBHUMAN

STOP COMMUNIST CHINA NOW

I find it continually sickening that The News and Internet Business Community has this frightening enthusiasm for China’s industrialization.

China is a Communist Country.

China is a sworn enemy of the United States.

China has destroyed job creation the US.

China is not innocent; they are an evil government with sights on our economy.

Why do you News and Internet people love China so much? Are you enjoying being an active participant in ruining the hopes of working Americans while lining the pockets of Communist Chinese Families? Shame on you!

I think Lou Dobbs needs to know how Plastics News is aiding and abetting the enemy.

Is The News Media a Communist organization? - We know it is.

The best thing that could happen to China is a few nuclear warheads.
