Creating opinion leaders

Christine Lu

Christine Lu is up to rather sensational things and last week I had a rather encouraging meeting with her in Starbucks and later a Korean restaurant. Because of the ongoing change in the media, the tools of creating opinion leaders on different issues would be done by the old media. But since they are lacking in these days, and especially for the English-language business scene in China, both Christine's China Business Network and my Chinabiz Speakers are trying to join forces in creating new thought leaders.
While we cannot change the media industry as its old features fall apart, we can try to slowly build an alternative. Christine's network now includes active chapters in New York, Washington DC and San Francisco and we will actively push a few of our key speakers for this special program. More will follow as the first engagements will become more solid.
Meanwhile, she took also the opportunity to interview me. Also here is more to come, including more features with some of our speakers.

Update: And here are more clips online. My advise to people doing business in China, the role of foreigners in China, and common misconceptions about China.
