Liu Mingkang on China vs the US economic crisis
As China moves on in the world, there are fortunately a growing number of Chinese leaders who are able and willing to explain its position for an international audience. Watch here the chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, the authority ruling the banking industry, Liu Mingkang, in the famous BBC-talk show "Hard Talk". (You can find the link here, embedding was disallowed.)
Liu explains how China is helping the United States to pull through its crisis, but also admits that China itself is getting some of the economic fallout. I must say, I did not see this BBC-show for a long time, but "soft-ball", seems more appropriate than "hard talk".
