KLM offers cheaper flights to attract customers

the lufpbo31 via FlickrDutch airline company KLM is now offering return flights to China for €499, following similar moves by competitors Finair and Lufthansa, supporting my earlier assumption that visa problems are hurtining international travel to China.
The price drop comes at the time when oil prices are on records' heights, suggesting rather higher prices than lower ones. Chinese airlines have already started to reduce their flights, US airlines have delayed the expansion of their new flights to China and the European airlines might reduce their capacity too when price reductions do not attract more passengers.
