EU bans Beijing Duck

In case you think that only Beijing authorities get gaga when they start banning things, here is a nice example from London.
Inspectors of the European Union have banned Beijing Duck in ten London restaurants, because they did not comply with the European regulations on producing food, reports the Daily Mail in an in depth article on this effort to contain Chinese culture in the old country. The ban might hit more Chinese restaurant and can possible spread on the mainland too. Since the Daily Mail is at least as trustworthy as the South China Morning Post, we believe this story right away.
The clampdown comes despite an admission by council officials that there have been no reported health problems linked to the ovens, which are made in China and are also used to cook Cantonese Duck and suckling pig.
The ban has infuriated celebrity chef Ken Hom, who said last night: 'It's absurd. What do the Europeans know about making Chinese duck? It's just as outrageous as people in Hong Kong being told they can't make fish and chips. I am livid.'

So Kem Hom can't tell the difference of banning the oven from banning the duck. And he can't make the duck without the oven ? What kind of cook is he ?
