Speaker:
The writer Wang Lili has lived in Shenzhen, Melbourne, and now Shanghai, but originally comes from the countryside in Henan Province and works as migrant in big cities like ShenZhen, Shanghai for many years. Her three published books, I Would Shed No Tears (2001), You Are Far Away (2002), and Sunshine On The Body (2006) have given here a reputation for granting a voice to people such as migrants, sex-traders, spinsters, psychologically-lost people ... who have no voice, Her creative writing discovers the dirty secrets of rising China together with the small, visceral details about what is happening in China.
She is profiled by numerous local and international media, she gives presentation in top Universities, libraries, international literature Festival... home and abroad. More information about wang lili at www.flickr.com/wanglilinovels.
