economy - Wealth gap between cities, country side keeps growing

The difference in wealth between urbanites and rural residents has been growing, writes the National Development and Reform Commission. (h/t China Digital Times)
Salaries have gone up over the past 15 year, but in the cities much faster. In the cities people on average earn 3.2 times the income of those on the country side, according to the research. It does not refer to recent research of the World Bank that says that rural income actually went down in 2002, 2003.
