media - Who pulled the trigger on subway no.2?

Shanghainese might remember the story of an emergency stop subway no.2 made on Monday 24 January. Here is the story Shanghaiist wrote then, since the Shanghai Daily hides their stories behind a firewall after some time. The media reported then that somebody had illegally used the emergency stop.
I already found the story slightly suspicious, since most Shanghainese are very law-abiding citizens and they would have handed over the guy (or girl) right away to the authorities, especially people got hurt because of the sudden stop.
Since then people who were on that train have been posting on BBS's and have told us the company that runs the subways has been lying to us. There has never been a person who stopped the train, it was a mechanical problem that should be addressed by the company.
That is not good for their reputation. Of course, technical problems can happen, especially when the pressure on the system is so big. But they should at least tell the truth.
