- Shaun Rein had lunch with Focus Media CEO Jason Jiang and made a great story out of it.
- Two video-sharing enterprises got VC-funding, writes China Web2.0 Review.
Interesting is that according to figures from Baidu the numbers two and three in the market are actually much closer to leader Tudou. com than I expected. - The Guardian guestimates that all the talk about tightening China's booming economy might only be window dressing. That would not be the first time in China's politics.
- Paul Midler told (already yesterday) this very telling joke about how Chinese related to rules.
- The Financial Times shares my position on the Chinese shares in Asia after the stellar performance of the China Railways Group. For the time being there is nothing to worry.
- Shaun Rein's company did research among the Chinese consumers and discovers (contradicting a survey by McKinsey) that trust in foreign brands is higher than ever.(Perception are of course very important, but I would prefer some more real testing.)

Todays is one of those news-heavy days, and there is especially a lot of Shaun Rein in the air. Many other things to do also, so I will use my link-strategy also today.

Fons, it seems many people misread the Baidu report, which is about search market share, not about the size of the video sites. It basically shows to which video sites traffic for video searches goes, but does not say anything about how big the traffic of the sites is. Therefore no. 2 and 3 seem to be much closer than they really are to Tudou.
