My activities on Facebook have slowed down dramatically over the past few days because of holiday-related activities. Today Facebook in China is even out of the air, I understand from a few entries and indeed, I cannot download the page. As far as I can see, the service is suffering from technical problems.
Update: Problems seem to concentrate in Shanghai, as other Facebook contacts are able to post some updates.

here in Beijing Facebook access is no problem. One way to have access to Facebook is going mobile. Use your mobile phone's browser http://m.facebook.com. my preferred way and it somehow circumvents the gfw...
Facebook is working again here. Since it was a rather local problem, it was no FB-problem, but might as you suggest indeed be a local GFW problem. Also on my way to get a decent mobile :-)
It's NOT a local problem. I'm in Shandong province and have been experiencing the same problem countless times - mimicking the block on Wikipedia - the great fire wall simply won't let it to load. And apparently Craigslist is now blocked as well!
I am in Tianjin, and I cannot load facebook either. anyone around is able to login to facebook today?
