Do's and Don'ts for China's media

Not so long ago I was suggested as a columnist for an upcoming state-owned English business magazine, an honor I might pass on (as well did the person who passed it onto me). This shopping list of orders for China's media, translated by the China Digital News, offers a nice insight in the current hot topics that deserve to be covered.
Some are perfectly logical:

Web sites should immediately delete posts about the central government planning to set up a Ministry of Energy and merging the securities, banking, and insurance regulation commissions, both of which are rumors.

The problem is that deleting stories is not a proper way to deal with rumors, but will only encourage them. Another example:

Web sites should delete the photos of Lu Yongxiang President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attending the democracy life meeting of the Institute of Mechanics. Clean up forms and blogs that have such relevant information.
